Cloudy weather, isolated thunderstorms to persist today: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, June 9, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected in the morning hours. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are not unlikely over Maiduguri, Damaturu, Nguru, Potiskum and Kano. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 36℃ and 19 – 24℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over the region in the morning hours with chances of isolated thunderstorms over the Jos, Makurdi, Mambila and Kaduna axis during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33℃ and 23 – 25℃respectively except Jos at 26/18℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Morning cloudiness is expected over this region. Later in the day, there are chances of localised thunderstorms over some cities like Port Harcourt, Owerri, Enugu, Umuahia, Calabar, Uyo, Eket, Obudu, Ikom, Warri, Asaba, Lagos, Benin and Yenagoa. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 34℃ and 20 – 25℃ respectively.
