A governorship aspirant in the November 18 governorship election in Anambra State, Prince Angus Ojukwu, has accused Governor Willie Obiano of running a visionless government.

Ojukwu made the declaration on Monday in his country home in Awka-Etiti, Idemili South Local Government Area. He also declared to run under the Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP).

Ojukwu, who is also believed to be eyeing the traditional stool of his community listed a ten-point agenda, which include free and compulsory primary and secondary education, free maternal/child care, electricity for all, safe drinking water for all, sound security network, industrialisation, infrastructural development, employment generation, agriculture and investment saying that would form his blueprint for the governance of Anambra State, if elected.

Ojukwu solicited the support of Anambra people to enable him actualise his ambition, described his political platform as the only political party that has the will to move Anambra State to the next level.

“My objective is to bring light to Anambra State because this is the time for light to shine in our state. This is what the present administration has not been able to do and I am poised to do it if elected.

“We have people-friendly manifesto and programmes which, if implemented, would benefit the state more than what any other government, past and present, had offered,” he stated.

Responding to the question of the chances of MPPP winning the Anambra governorship election, Ojukwu said: “APC cannot win in Anambra State; PDP has not yet put its house in order as to stand for and win the forthcoming election in Anambra; APGA is already dead by reason of leadership crisis rocking it.”

Ojukwu, who is also the immediate past Assistant National Secretary of APGA, promised to sustain the tempo of sound security in the state and also improve on it if elected under MPPP.

In his speech, the Anambra State chairman of the party, Evangelist Simon Anidike said that Ojukwu was eminently qualified and well-equipped to govern Anambra State.

He called on eligible voters in the state to get their voters’ cards ready to enable them enthrone credible governor in Anambra State on November 18, 2017.
