Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, has decried the activities of unscrupulous Nigerians who are in the criminal and ungodly habit of adulteration of petroleum products.

Horrified by the sites of some victims of kerosene explosions in several hospitals in the state, Mrs. Ikpeazu frowned at the inordinate ambition of some businessmen to make money by any means and urged perpetrators of such dastardly acts to have a change of heart. She charged them to make the fear of God the cornerstone of their commercial enterprises.

According to a statement by the Chief Information Officer, Nwamaka Maduchukwu, the Abia First Lady who visited the victims in several hospitals, offered to offset their medical bills. She also appealed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the law enforcement agencies to do their utmost to contain the situation.
