The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, Monday 5, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning with prospects of localised thunderstorms during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 38℃ and 23 – 24℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Morning cloudiness is expected over this region except over places like Abuja, Nassarawa, Jalingo, Ibi, Yola, Bida and Makurdi where prospects of isolated thunderstorms are expected in the morning. Later in the afternoon/evening hours, widespread thunderstorms should prevail over the entire region. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 33℃ and 20 – 24℃ respectively, except over Jos where 28/18oC. Day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over the region with prospects of morning rains over Port Harcourt, Owerri, Enugu, Umuahia, Calabar, Uyo, Eket, Obudu, Ikom, Warri, Asaba, Lagos, Benin and Yenagoa. Thunderstorms are expected over the region in the afternoon/evening hours. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 34℃and 19 – 24℃ respectively.
