Governor of Delta State, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, has told Delta youths and women to expect more political appointments.

The Governor let the cat out of the bag in Asaba, the state capital, during a ceremony on Monday to mark his second year in office. He also said that it has been very difficult in the past two years in office, adding that during the first year, there was a lot of crisis in the creeks “but today we are celebrating without crisis in the creeks.”

Okowa appreciated all Deltans for supporting his government, and expressed confidence that brighter days have come.

According to the Governor, Delta State is number four among oil producing states in Nigeria but he is not comfortable with the position. “Delta will be number one oil producing state in 2018 to retain the former position. “Besides, I’m a very lucky Governor based on the support of Deltans,” he declared.
