Former Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Yaro Makama Rigachikun, and his followers have decamped to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The former chairman and leader of the defunct New PDP was formally received at the office of the Kaduna APC Interim Chairman, Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed, this evening in Kaduna, north-west Nigeria.
Rigachikun said their joining the APC is to save the state from collapse and misrule of the PDP and to correct their wrongs of supporting PDP in the past.
Though New PDP merged with APC on November 26, PDP has been working to win back the aggrieved members. Rigachikun’s action therefore, constitutes a setback to the crisis-torn PDP.
