As debate continues to rage over who between President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney won last night’s US Presidential Debate, First Lady Michelle Obama has scored her husband as the winner.

“I simply couldn’t be prouder of my husband tonight,” MO (as Michelle Obama signs off on Twitter) tweeted. She urged voters to rally round her husband and give him a second term during the November 26 presidential ballot.

News Express reports that the Obama camp has remained upbeat despite popular belief that Governor Romney trounced America’s first Black President during the debate.

In a series of tweets from the twitter handle ‏@BarackObama, the president’s team dismissed Romney as having played to the gallery during the debate.

“Mitt Romney spent the night on the defensive, doubled down on the same bad ideas that crashed the economy. The choice in this election couldn’t be clearer. Pitch in $5 to help make sure President Obama keeps us moving forward,” said one of the tweets.

The team in another tweet urged supporters to “make sure your friends know: President Obama’s the choice to move us forward, not back.”

According to President Obama himself, the Democratic Party flagbearer, in another tweet: “I promised I’d fight every single day on behalf of the American people. I’ve kept that promise.”

“Part of being principled and part of being a leader is being able to describe exactly what it is you intend to do,” he said in yet another tweet.

News Express reports that while Romney was aggressive throughout the debate watched by millions of people around the world, Obama was more statesmanly, making his point with a presidential mien. This has made many observers to give the debate to Romney but more perceptive analysts insist that Obama made more sense in terms of proffering workable solutions to America’s problems.
