Weatherman forecasts partly cloudy Sunday with localised thunderstorms, rain

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, May 14, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over the region during the forecast period. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 43℃ and 24  – 27℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Localised thunderstorm is expected over Jalingo axis in the morning, and over parts of Abuja and Bauchi, Kaduna, Plateau, Nassarawa, Taraba and Niger states in the afternoon/evening period. Other parts of the region are expected to be cloudy during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 37℃ and 17 – 24℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: There are slim chances of scattered rains in the morning over Lagos and Ijebu-Ode and higher chances of thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening over parts of Abeokuta, Lagos, Ogun, Benin, Asaba, Owerri, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Uyo, Eket and Obudu-Ikom axis. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 32 – 34℃ and 21 – 24℃ respectively.
