Hoodlums have invaded the popular Alade Shopping Mall in the Ikeja area of Lagos, looting and vandalising belongings of shop owners at the Complex.
The Shopping Mall is said to have been bought over by new investors.
Even though the matter is in court, the new owners this Sunday morning brought carpenters to start removing structures, including the roofs of the buildings.
Although the police arrived the scene right on time, having been alerted by a few of the owners who were quickly informed when the carpenters arrived, they simply stood by, watching the area boys as they made away with valuable items from the shops.
Most of the shop owners are still unaware of what has become of their shops and their stock of goods as some may have travelled out of Lagos for the weekend that runs into a public holiday.
