Chief Executive Officer of NoiseMakers Advertising, Dixon Jubril, and Chairman of The Udemba Group, Engr. Uzo Udemba, have been conferred with the Young Achievers Award for the Outdoor Advertising Company and the Best Performing Entertainment Company of the Year respectively. This, according to the award organisers, is in recognition of their outstanding performance and exemplary leadership in the country.
Now in its fourth edition, the award, according to Adedutan Ibrahim Yinka, Publisher cum CEO of Young Achievers Magazine, organisers of the award, said it is aimed at celebrating the youth who have excelled in their chosen careers.
His words: “The moment we start believing in ourselves that is when things start to change for the positive for us. Our organisation recognises that fact, hence it has continued to recognise outstanding performances.
“Our aim is simply to give hope to the hopeless and to let young entrepreneurs know that we recognise their efforts in the land.”
Other awardees include Onyekachi Onubogu, Commercial Director, Promasidor, as the Young Manager of the year; and Mercy Bawa, CEO, Albakena, as the Fashion Designer of the Year.
Dignitaries who graced the award ceremony held Friday in Lagos includes human rights campaigner, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, President, Women Arise for Change in Nigeria; Dr. Muiz Banire, erstwhile Commissioner of Environment in Lagos State; and Otunba Femi Okenla, CEO, HDV Group, amongst others.
