Cloudy weather, thunderstorm expected across the country today: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday, April 10, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected in the morning with chances of localised thunderstorms over Sokoto, Kebbi, Yelwa, Gusau and Kano in the afternoon over this region.

CENTRAL STATES: cloudy skies are expected in the morning hours but later in the afternoon, localised thunderstorms are expected over Abuja, Lafia, Minna, Bida, Jalingo, Kaduna, Jos, Ibi and Mambilla Plateau. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 40℃ and 17 – 27℃ respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Thunderstorms are anticipated over the south east coast in the morning hours while localised thunderstorms are likely over the inland of the south and coast of the southwest in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 35℃ and 20 – 25℃.
