Embattled Kano State Federal Lawmaker, Honourable Abdulmumin Jibrin, has apologised for the opinions he shared on twitter about President Muhammadu Buhari’s health status.

The lawmaker, who arrived his home country of Kofa in Bebeji amidst cheers and rousing welcome from his supporters, said he was misunderstood on the statement where he asked that President Buhari should resign.

Honorabale Jibrin said the President remains a father to him and someone he truly believes in adding that he is the man capable of leading the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) and indeed all Nigerians to the promise land.

The lawmaker was suspended in 2016 by the House of Representatives for whistle blowing over the 2016 budget process.

The lawmaker addressed his supporters in the presence of the media earlier on Friday.

“To my party leaders, friends, colleagues and supporters who expressed concern over my position or took offence at it, I sincerely apologise.

“I apologise to the party, to the president and of course all well meaning supporters of APC or beyond, that expressed dissatisfaction at that comment,” he stated (Channels TV)
