Sunny and hazy conditions expected in the North today, cloud in the South: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday March 22, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be in sunny and hazy conditions with localized horizontal visibility range of 3 – 5km during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 40℃ and 20 – 24℃ respectively. 

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the central cities while cloudy conditions are anticipated over Lokoja and Makurdi in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 37 – 40 and 23 – 28 respectively except Jos with minimum and maximum of 16 and 32.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the inland and the coastal cities with prospects of localised thunderstorms over places such as Lagos, Port Harcourt, Eket, Calabar, Yenagoa, Warri, Oshogbo, Ado-Ekiti, Enugu, and Awka and Benin during the afternoon/evening hours.

Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 34 – 38 and 21 – 26 respectively.
