The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday, March 6, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be under sunny conditions in the next 24 hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 42°C and 18 – 23°C respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region with prospects of localised thundery activities over Lokoja, Markudi, Ilorin, Lafia and Abuja in the next 24 hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 40°C and 22 – 26°C respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over the inland and the coastal cities with prospects of localised thunderstorms over some places such as Lagos, Port Harcourt, Yenagoa, Eket, Calabar, Owerri, Umuahia, Enugu, Awka, Akure, Oshogbo, Ibadan and Ijebu Ode during the afternoon/evening hours.
Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 35 – 38°C and 23 – 26°C respectively.
