The National Disciplinary Committee of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has summoned the top leaders of the breakaway faction suspended last week by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
Information reaching News Express has it that the committee headed by Second Republic Minister of Transport, Alhaji Umaru Dikko, has invited PDP National Secretary, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, New PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, and two other New PDP leaders, Deputy Chairman, Dr. Sam Sam Jaja, and the National Vice-Chairman, North West, Ambassador Ibrahim Kazaure, to appear before it next week Wednesday, November 27.
The committee had met yesterday in Abuja to strategise on how to effectively carry out the assignment given to it.
Baraje and the others are accused of anti-party activities.
It is not yet clear if they will honour the invitation, having earlier argued that the disciplinary committee was not properly constituted.
