3 arraigned for kidnap, murder of senior DSS officer

The Department of State Service (DSS) has arraigned three persons for the alleged kidnap and murder of a senior personnel of the agency in Rivers State.

In a matter between the Director General of DSS and Jonkin Nkwozor, Okechukwu Onyegbosi and Mike Ogu as well as others who are at large, the suspects purportedly kidnapped the DSS official, Reuben Uzoma, his wife, their two children and his sister in-law along Ngor-Okpala/Etche road in the state and dispossessed them of their Toyota Venza car.

According to the DSS, its senior personnel was shot dead with a pump action gun by the group during the attack.

The accused persons have been remanded in prison custody and the matter adjourned to Monday, February 6 for further hearing. (Channels TV)
