The Osun State Police Command has arraigned an 85 years old man, Olasupo Tolani, and one Bashiru Ismaila, 35, before an Osogbo Magistrate Court for giving false information.

The Police prosecutor, Sergeant Ajayi Sunday told the Court that the accused persons conspired to give out false information to the Police.

He said the accused persons knowingly gave false information to the police with intent to mislead them to prosecute one Chief Tominiyi Olakunle Adesina.

He added that the offences of conspiracy and false information committed by the accused persons contravened Section 125 and Section 516 of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2000.

When the charges were read to them, the accused pleaded not guilty of the charges levelled against them.

Counsel to the accused persons, Mrs Adeyinka Dada, prayed the court to grant her clients bail in the most lenient terms.

In his ruling, Chief Magistrate Olusola Aluko granted the accused bail of N50,000 each and adjourned the case till March 17, 2017.
