All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the on-going Anambra State Governorship Election, Senator Chris Ngige, has cried out, alleging rigging even before the beginning of voting.
Addressing newsmen this morning after getting accredited preparatory to voting, Ngige lamented the delay in distributing electoral materials in his Idemili stronghold, describing it as a deliberate attempt to rig the election.
News Express reports that the election has been experiencing hitches such as late supply of electoral materials in some areas, late reporting for duty by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and the inability of several potential voters to locate their names on the voters’ register.
Admitting these hitches, the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Chukwuemeka Onukaogu, however, said everything was being done to take care of them, assuring that “at the end of the day, people will smile.”
