The Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC has assured the people of Omuapu in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of Imo state and commuters plying the Owerri-Port Harcourt expressway, that the deplorable road which is under rehabilitation will be motorable before the next rainy season.

The New Board Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Senator Ndoma Egba disclosed this in Owerri the Imo State capital, when the new board of the NDDC paid Governor Rochas Okorocha a courtesy call in Owerri.

He assured the state government that they are ready to work and partner with the state to ensure that the main objectives of the creation of the NDDC is achieved in Imo State as part of the Niger Delta states.

However, Governor Okorocha expressed disappointment over the activities of NDDC in the state in the past few years, especially as related to abandoned projects in the state.

He said he is optimistic that the new board will rewrite the wrongs and ensure that Imo State benefits from projects and programmes of the commission like never before. (Channels TV)
