Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has described his late father, Alhaji Abdul Oyedeni Sanusi-Amosun, as a very religious, disciplined, and well organized man, who lived a life, worthy of emulation.
Amosun disclosed this during an interview with journalists at the 20 years remembrance of his late father who died at the age of 80 on January 20, 1997.
The governor, while recounting fond memories of his father, said: “He was a one in a million father, whose orderliness and love for education was second to none.”
He enjoined all members of the Amosun family to emulate the virtues and legacies left behind by their late patriarch.
In his message, the Mufasir of Egba Land, Alhaji Musiliudeen Nasirudeen, admonished all Muslims to seek knowledge in order to know what is required of them at any point in time in their faith.
Amosun’s elder brother, Alhaji Abidoye Amosun, speaking on behalf of the family, appreciated the Muslim clerics and all who came to honour their late father.
