Interior Minister Dambazau.
Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (Rtd) has condemned the killing of innocent Nigerians in Taraba, Kaduna and Zamfara states.
Dambazau, in a statement released by his Secretary, Ehisienmen Osaigbovo, described the killings as irresponsible, senseless and barbaric acts of some criminally minded persons.
Extending his condolence to the Government and people of the three affected states, the minister assured that the government will not rest until the perpetrators of the act are brought to justice.
According to the statement, “it is most regrettable that the incident is coming at a time President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration is putting measures in place to revamp the nation’s economy and deliver on his electioneering promises of building a vibrant and united Country, where every individual will realise his or her potentials, irrespective of tribe, religion nor political affiliations.”
The minister added that security officers have been mobilised to the affected areas to ensure peace within the yuletide and beyond.
He cautioned citizens to desist from trouble under any guise including sentiments of religion, ethnicity or political affiliation. (TV360 Nigeria)
