The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about te country’s weather condition for today, Friday, December 16, 2016”

NORTHERN STATES: This region should expect moderate dust haze with visibility range of 2 – 5km however a few places may have visibilities that are less than or equal to 1000m throughout the forecast period. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 38oC and 12 – 20oC respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Dust Haze conditions are expected over this region throughout the forecast period except over Bida, Abuja, Lafia, Lokoja and Makurdi where cloudy to partly cloudy conditions should prevail. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 37oC and 14 – 22oC respectively, except over Jos with 29/13oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: There should be early morning mist and fog patches over the southern cities and the coast in the morning with chances of isolated thunderstorms expected over Ibadan, Oshogbo, Akure, Ekiti, Enugu and the coast later in the day. The Day and Night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 - 35oC and 20 - 23oC.
