CAN Commends Amosun over road project

President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Revd (Dr.) Samson Ayokunle, has commended the drive and vision of the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, in embarking on the expansion of the Sagamu-Abeokuta expressway into a 10-lane road.

Ayokunle stated this when he led a team of CAN/Baptist leadership on a courtesy visit to the governor at his Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta office on Tuesday.

The CAN President said infrastructural development, such as the 10-lane expressway, are vital to the economic development and prosperity of any society, adding that Amosun’s stride in the area of infrastructural development would go a long way in provoking others to want to emulate him.

Responding, Amosun assured that his administration would not relent in the development of the state, adding that all the commendations received would encourage him to do more.

The governor, who noted that for any meaningful development to take place, the right infrastructure must be put in place, said his administration is committed to addressing the huge infrastructural deficit in Ogun State.
