President Goodluck Jonathan has identified with the country’s leading entrepreneur, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works, Senator Ayogu Eze, in their hour of grief.

While Dangote lost his eldest brother, Alhaji Garba Dangote, yesterday in Kano, Senator Eze lost his mother, Mrs. Paulina Omadaja Eze.

“The President joins Alhaji Dangote and members of his family in praying that Almighty Allah will receive his late brother’s soul and grant him eternal rest in Paradise,” his Special Adviser (Media & Publicity), Reuben Abati, said in a statement issued last night in Abuja, the Nigerian capital.

Continuing, the statement said: “As he mourns his late mother, President Jonathan urges Senator Eze to be comforted by the knowledge that she lived a long and very fulfilled life of notable accomplishments in agriculture, entrepreneurship and community leadership.

“The President assures Senator Eze of his full sympathy and support as he prepares to lay his mother to rest at Umuida, Enugu State next month.”
