The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, December 10, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Kano, Katsina, Nguru, Gusau, Kaduna, Maiduguri and its environs are expected to be under the influence of dust haze conditions with localised visibilities of 3,000m affecting Sokoto, Yelwa, Bida and Minna. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 39°C and 14 – 23°C respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Sunny and hazy conditions are anticipated over the entire region throughout the forecast period. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 38°C and 17 – 23°C respectively, except over Jos with 29/14°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected over the inland and the coastal cities in the morning hours. Partly cloudy conditions are also expected over the inland in the afternoon/evening hours with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the coast. The Day and Night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 33 – 36°C and 21 – 25°C respectively.
