Expect dust haze and cloudy conditions today: NIMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Tuesday, December 6, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze should prevail over this region in the morning while deteriorating visibilities are likely over some areas in the evening in the visibility range of 1-3km. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 38°C and 14 – 21°C respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Dust Haze is expected over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 37°C and 16 – 23°C respectively, except over Jos with 28/13°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy skies are expected over the entire inland throughout the forecast period. The coastal cities are expected to be cloudy in the morning with prospects of isolated showers in the southeast. Later in the day, a few places within the coastal region is expected to experience isolated thundery showers. The Day and Night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 35°C and 19 – 23°C.
