Why I endorsed Diva —Nollywood diva Stephanie Linus-Okereke

Multi-talented Nollywood diva, film director and model Stephanie Linus-Okereke is keen to create a new era in which all Nigerian women can take pride in being women.

This, according to her, explained her decision to endorse Diva sanitary pads. The Diva Brand Ambassador spoke in Lagos at a press conference organised by Marley Global Limited, manufactures of Diva sanitary pads.

Stephanie said: “I am very excited to be associated with Diva sanitary pads. Diva is the first brand of sanitary napkin for me that has come up with a solution by providing extra protection whilst at the same time being comfortable and affordable. Diva brand vision in Africa is very straight forward – they want to enable all girls and women of today to lead a quality life and take pride in being a woman just like me. That is why I am excited about this campaign. Through this campaign I wish to convey to every girl out there that she should not be worried when she has her period but instead move about confidently like a “diva”.

Speaking, Mr. Haresh Dalamal, Managing Director, Marley Global Limited, said the company is built on the premise of driving healthcare and hygiene throughout Africa. “Not only are we committed to provide high quality and affordable products, but are fully focused on pushing education to each individual to help show them the importance of personal hygiene,” he said.

Contributing, Director, Marley Global Limited, Mr. Ashwin Dalamal, said that the objectives of Diva educational programme are “educating girls and women to make informed decisions about  their period  care, empowering girls and women with a safe and hygienic solution, encouraging girls and women to take an active role in caring for their menstrual cycle through cycle knowledge, menstrual education and charting options and equipping girls and women with  the knowledge and tools they need to be proud  of their bodies, their health and about being a woman.”

Talking about the product portfolio, Director, Marley Global Limited, Mr. Jai Mahtani, said: “The Diva family is made up of five products, which are broken up into three types. Slims, Ultra-Thins and Super Deluxe. The Slims is a new technology never seen before in the African market until now. The Slim pad is a combination of a regular and an Ultra-Thin. It’s not too thick, it’s not too thin, it’s just slim designed for the modern everyday girl. The ultra-thins are for those women who are currently comfortable in using their ultra-thin product and are adamant in not changing the type of pad. Super Deluxe is a straight fluff pad that has been especially designed for the use after the birth of your baby or for the use of heavy flow.”
