Sources told our reporter that the incident happened around 8pm when an unknown number of gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram members, detonated a bomb in the bank and carted away unspecified amount of money.
“The Divisional Police Station in Makarfi also came under attack but no casualty is recorded in the two attacks so far. We are in the entourage of security and government officials at the scene now. I will give you details later,” one source told our reporter on phone.
He said six Improvised Explosive Devices were recovered before they were detonated by the assailants suspected to be the Boko Haram insurgents.
