Keystone Bank and a police station came under attack last night in Makarfi, Kaduna State.

Sources told our reporter that the incident happened around 8pm when an unknown number of gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram members, detonated a bomb in the bank and carted away unspecified amount of money.

“The Divisional Police Station in Makarfi also came under attack but no casualty is recorded in the two attacks so far. We are in the entourage of security and government officials at the scene now. I will give you details later,” one source told our reporter on phone.

He said six Improvised Explosive Devices were recovered before they were detonated by the assailants suspected to be the Boko Haram insurgents.

The Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Olufemi Adenaike, while confirming the incident said no casualty was recorded.
