Akwa Ibom State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, has reshuffled his cabinet, dropping three commissioners and a special adviser.

The State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr Aniekan Umanah, announced this in a statement released today in the state capital, Uyo.

He did not give reasons for the action and named the commissioners dropped “with immediate effect” as Messrs Austin Mbeh (Transport); Sunny Anyang (Economic Development); and Martins Udoinyang (Commerce and Industry).

The fourth victim is Special Adviser, Sports and Youth Development, Mr Samuel Frank.

The statement said that the governor expressed appreciation to the former members of the state Executive Council for their services to the state.
