The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has revealed plans to hold Praise Mega Jamz to celebrate the legendary music icon, King Sunny Adeniyi (KSA).

KSA who clocked 70 on the 22nd of September, according to the church, gave his life to Christ six years ago, precisely on the 1st of January 2011 at the national headquarters, Throne Of Grace (TOG), Ebute Metta,  a chapel in his residence, which has grown into three branches.

Pastor Jonathan Kurshi, Assistant Pastor in Charge of Parish (Administration) at a media briefing said: “The celebration is an initiative of TOG in appreciation of God’s grace over the years for all saved souls including that of KSA and also to commemorate his 70th birthday.”

He continued that the special service which would hold next Sunday at TOG is an ample avenue to witness to KSA fans, those yet unsaved and also an opportunity to celebrate the joy of salvation in the Holy Ghost.

Pastor Kayode Ojo, TOG Choirmaster corroborated that KSA is an icon worth celebrating.

“Someone may ask why all these for KSA? Before God a soul saved is important. The Bible says there is joy in heaven for a soul saved.  KSA is an icon no doubt; if the church decides to honour God in his life. He can only be 70 once he cannot be 70 twice.

“The celebration is worth it. Our father in the lord said two weeks ago that everything we do in church is for ourselves; that the only thing God receives directly is our praise. It has been our tradition in RCCG to offer praises to God; this is why we want to hold Praise Mega Jamz next Sunday,” Ojo stated.

He added that the Praise Mega Jamz will feature KSA, Ayan Jesu, Perfected Praise Singers, Rivers of Living Water, Oasis of life, RCCG TOG Orchestra and a host of gospel artistes.

Meanwhile, Bsiyabonga Ebiriga, a protocol officer of KSA said the Praise Jamz is apt in celebrating the icon who she described as one with a listening ear, gentle and humble.`
