The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, October 7, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to sunny conditions are anticipated with threat of thundery activities over Sokoto, Yelwa and Gusau axis in the morning hours. Afternoon/evening thundery activities are likely over parts of Borno, Kano, Gombe, Bauchi and Adamawa. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 34-39°C.
CENTRAL STATES: There are prospects of thunderstorms to affect parts of FCT, Kogi, Nassarawa and Benue in the morning. Pockets of thunderstorms are expected over the high grounds and the Mambilla Plateau by afternoon/evening period. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27 - 33°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Places around Port Harcourt, Calabar, Eket, Owerri and the inland city of Enugu and its environs should experience some rains in the morning with cloudiness over the rest of the South. A wider spread of rain is expected in the afternoon to cover Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta, Oshogbo, Shaki, Edo, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Ebonyi, Anambra, Bayelsa and Port Harcourt. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31 – 33°C.
