Indian business delegation arrives Nigeria in search of opportunities

Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari is arriving Nigeria today, Monday on a three days official visit with a twenty two member High level business delegation who will also hold talks with their counterparts from the organised private sector in Nigeria.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sola Enikanolaiye, on Monday.
India’s Vice President of India while in Nigeria will be received by Nigeria’s Vice President of Yemi Osibanjo and the “two leaders will hold bilateral talks covering relations between both countries. The visiting Indian Vice President will also pay a courtesy call on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari”.
Ansari is also expected to deliver a lecture at the National Defence College in Abuja before visiting Lagos State where he will also deliver a lecture at the University of Lagos.
Nigeria has been recorded as an important trading partner of India with bilateral trade between the both countries put at $12.17 billion in 2015 and 2016 as against US 16.36 billion dollars in 2014-15. (Business Day Nigeria)
