The Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) has initiated moves to implement the decision reached during its meeting held on April 12, 2016 in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State with representatives of the internally displaced natives of Bakassi Peninsula.

A BNYL statement disclosed that the Deputy President, Ebuta Victor Takon, will be leading delegates to the refugees camp on a solidarity visit on November 17 this year. “The elders of Akwa-Cross region are backing the youth league decision to support the refugees,” the statement said.
Takon expressed displeasure over the neglect of the refugees by Nigeria and the maltreatment of the Bakassi natives in neighbouring Cameroon. “Our people have lost confidence in the Nigerian government. They equally do not want to answer Cameroon; the only way out is Biafra,” he said.
The BNYL Deputy President disclosed that a Special Congress will be held in Eket with Akwa Ibom and Cross River elders on the 30th of this month.
