Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has asked the National Assembly to hasten the passage of statutory budgets for 29 government corporations and agencies.

President Buhari made the request on Wednesday through his Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang.

He said the passage of the budget for the 29 government corporations and agencies would stimulate Nigeria’s economy and create jobs.

Briefing reporters in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Enang said that President Buhari had assented to the FCT Appropriation Bill.

The FCT budget passed and assented to by President Buhari is put at 241.5 billion Naira.

The capital expenditure is fixed at 154.8 billion Naira and 52.9 billion Naira for personnel cost while 34.4 billion Naira is for overhead cost. (Channels TV)
