Boko Haram insurgents killed six people and kidnapped 13 others in a fresh attack on Kuburubu village in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State, a Civilian JTF source said. The attackers who were on four motorcycles arrived Kuburubu village around 5am of yesterday and opened fire on the residents.

A member of Civilian JTF in Damboa town, Abubarkar Damboa, said, “six people were shot dead while several others were injured.”

“Thirteen people including seven women, five young boys and a girl were taken away. They looted all the food items, livestock including goats, camels and burnt down the village,” he said. Kuburubu village is a boundary village between Chibok and Damboa LGAs of Borno State.
