Jehovah’s Witnesses have unfolded details of the 2013 edition of their Annual Conventions scheduled to hold in various parts of Nigeria from this Friday, September 6, to Sunday, December 22.
The three-day district convention which has as theme ‘God’s Word Is Truth!’ will be held in English and several indigenous Nigerian languages, according to information published on www.jw.org, the official website of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
First to host the convention this weekend are the cities of Igwuruta Ali and Ubogo while conventions at Igwuruta Ali, Ilesa and Mgboko Umuoria will draw the curtain on December 22.
Other convention cities are Akabo, Ota, Jos, Agbor, Awi, Benin City, Daluwon, Kwali, Badagry, Ikot Nko, Ilorin, Enugu, Ikot Ekpene, Katsina Ala, Kaduna, Akure, Makurdi, Lekki, Okitipupa, Oyede, Sokoto, Uli, Uzuakoli, and Zaria.
On the highlights of the convention series, a story on jw.org said that “the intriguing talk entitled ‘What Is Truth?’ will examine why we can trust God’s Word, the Bible. Two dramatic plays will bring Bible stories and their lessons to life.”
It invited everyone who is interested to attend, saying: “You won’t be charged admission, and no collection will be taken.”
