Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for 16th August, 2016

NORTHERN STATES: Thunderstorms are expected over places like Sokoto, Kano, Gusau, Katsina and Yelwa in the morning hours. In the afternoon/evening period thunderstorms are anticipated over most part of the region. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 29 – 30 oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition will prevail over most part of the region with chances of rain over places like Jos, Manbilla Plateau, Lafia, Markudi, Ibi and Jalingo during the morning period. In the afternoon/evening hour places like Ilorin, Bida, Minna, Abuja and Lokoja are expected to be under thunderstorm. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 25 – 31 oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be cloudy with prospect of localised rain over places like Enugu, Awka, Onitsha, Asaba, Uyo and Owerri in the morning period. In the afternoon/evening hours rain is expected over most places in the region. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28 – 30 oC.
