Daily Sun newspaper recently carried a report that an Abuja based crude oil merchant, Arthur Eze, donated N100 million to the Enugu based Catholic Priest, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka.

The newspaper also reported that Arthur Eze criticised the transfer of Fr. Mbaka, describing it as punitive.

This donation by a man known for working for every government in power right from the Sani Abacha’s infamous military junta is in itself suspicious.

Coming as it were about the same time that the maverick cleric did a 360 degrees turnaround (volte-face) from his widely circulated criticism of the mass hunger in the land and asked President Muhammadu Buhari to stop chasing after Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu. It's likely his further and 'better' pro-Buhari 'prophesy' dropped after the sudden Naira Rain from Arthur Eze who may not even be a Catholic. What took Arthur Eze to Mbaka by this time of the year? Is Arthur Eze a Catholic or even a practicing Christian?

As a journalist, I know that Arthur Eze will never drop his money where and when he has no prospect of benefiting either through government patronage or some eye services. Of late he has become known as the ‘Father Christmas of Any Government in Power.’

Arthur Eze has warmed his way to President Muhammadu Buhari. He was one of the staunchest Jonathan’s supporters to have visited the then President elect retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari and he has since become a good friend of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF). The SGF has been accused severally of cornering huge bribes from political godfathers seeking appointments for their cronies in this dispensation. The SGF has denied this.

I’m working on a theory that he (Arthur Eze) has the blessing of his new friends in government to procure some quick fix ‘prophesy’ from the very mouth of this man who is as unstable as a thunderstorm (correct me if I'm wrong).

Importantly, how much tax is Fr. Mbaka going to pay to the Enugu State administration for picking up the N100 million donation to his chain of business ventures as announced by Arthur Eze? What right has Arthur Eze got to question the Church's hierarchy for transferring this irritant of a priest?

This same character called Mbaka made me stop attending Holy Mass as long as the Church fails to curb his political excesses. Mbaka had called me unprintable names because my group threatened to report him to the Holy Sea for his numerous indiscretions that bordered on SORCERY. Fr. Ejike Mbaka as reported by the media went as far as asking that I should be arrested. This man called Mbaka is a spectacular disgrace to the Mother Church. He must be called to order before he ridicules the Church in an irredeemable dimension.
