Buhari to grace inauguration of Chadian President

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday, August 8, 2016, in N’Djamena, join other Heads of State and Government for the inauguration ceremony of President Idriss Deby Itno of Chad.

President Deby won the presidential elections in his country in April.

A statement issued on Sunday afternoon in Abuja by Buhari’s Special Adviser (Media & Publicity) Femi Adesina said that the Nigerian leader “will be accompanied on the one-day trip by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State.”

According to Adesina, “The President’s delegation will also include Sen. Baba Kaka Garba, Hon. Mohammed Tahir Monguno, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama and the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (rtd).

“The President will return to Abuja after the inauguration.”
