Today’s Weather: NiMET predicts cloudy conditions, localised thunderstorms and rains

Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, July 29, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with chances of localised thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Nguru and Potiskum during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over Sokoto, Gusau and Katsina during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 32 - 33oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with likelihood of localised thunderstorms/rains over Abuja, Bida and Ilorin during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the high ground areas during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 29 - 30oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cities like Eket, Calabar, Yenagoa, Obudu and Ogoja will likely witness localised rains during the morning hours. There are prospects of rains over the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27-29oC.
