Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) has debunked claims by the Nigerian Military that it has arrested the logistics supplier of the militant group, dismissing the claim as the biggest joke of the 21st   century, just as it warned oil workers and foreigners to leave the Niger Delta region.

The group berated the Military for tagging everyone in sight within the region, a suspected member of the dreaded NDA. It also claimed that the Nigeria Military arrested school students in Oporoza and called them members of the Niger Delta Avengers. It also stated that any criminal arrested by the Military, including illegal oil bunkers and Sea Pirates are now paraded as members of NDA.

“When Niger Delta Avengers carry out any major attack, the Nigerian Military will deny it. First was the NNPC pipeline that was blown; Second, the 48-inche Exxon Mobil pipeline that was blown by NDA.  Mobil and the government denied it, only for Exxon Mobil to declare force majeure, few days after the attack. We want the general public to know that the Qua Iboe export pipeline is down right now,” NDA said in a statement issued by its spokesman, Brig. Gen. Mudoch Agbinibo.

“Let me give a little brief about the Qua Iboe Export Terminal. This is a subsidiary of Mobile and it is the biggest export stream in Nigeria. They export one million barrels of crude oil every two days.

“I Brig. Gen. Agbinibo, personally led this operation, unlike the Nigeria Chief of Naval Staff that sits in the comfort of his office and pass order.

“The Nigerian Military should stop deceiving the general public and their Commander In Chief. They should come out with the truth in Akwa Ibom instead of saying Niger Delta Avengers didn’t blow up the line but that there is system anomaly,” Agbinibo said.

The group also claimed that reports from its intelligence agents indicate that the only way funds can be allocated to various departments of the Military is when they arrest members of the Niger Delta Avengers. The Avengers boasted that “Soon, the Nigeria public and their Commander In Chief will know the Military is not capable to handle the Niger Delta Avengers.”

The militant group also claimed that all of its members are intact and that they are winning the war. “Nigerian Navy can’t arrest any of our operatives until we bring down the economy of this country. We are warning NUPENG and PENGASSAN to leave all oil fields and terminals in the Niger Delta because it is going to be dirty very soon. Foreigners are to leave too,” the Avengers warned.
