Today’s Weather: Expect cloudy conditions in the North, thunderstorms and rains in South and Central states: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Wednesday, July 20, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated in the morning hours over this region. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the stretch of the extreme North during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30 -33 oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Isolated thunderstorms/rains are expected over Jalingo, Mambila Plateau, Jos, Lafia and Abuja during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms/rains over the high grounds of the region in places like Jos, Abuja and Minna during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27 - 31 oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Rain showers/drizzles are likely over most parts of this region in the morning hours. Moderate rainfall activities are expected over the region during the afternoon/evening. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28-30 0C.
