NiMET predicts cloudiness today, with chances of localised thunderstorms and rains

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Thursday, July 14, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected over the region in the morning. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over some parts of Kano, Sokoto, Gusau and Yelwa axis later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31- 33oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition is expected with Chances of isolated showers to affect southern Bida in the morning. Possibilities of localised thunderstorms over some parts of the central cities including Abuja, Nasarawa, and Ibi in the afternoon/evening hours is not unlikely. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 25- 31oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Inland of the Southeast will experience cloudiness with prospects of isolated showers over Ibadan, Ilorin and Oshogbo in the morning. However, chances of isolated rains are not unlikely over the coastal cities such as Lagos, Delta, Calabar and Port Harcourt, Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka later in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 31oC.
