Kaduna Police Command gets new PRO

A new Public Relations Officer (PRO) has been appointed for the Kaduna State Police Command. He is Aliyu Usman, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

Mr. Aliyu took over from DPS Zubaiaru Abubakar who has been promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) and posted to Kurmin Mashi Division in Kaduna metropolis to serve as a Divisional Police Officer (DPO).

The new PRO while on introductory visit to Kaduna Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, on Tuesday in Kaduna, appealed to journalists in the state not to report negative things about the command.

“Don’t report negative things about us, we are all human being and are bound to make mistakes,” he pleaded, adding: “Guide me where ever I go wrong, my office is open for you. Feel free to come or call me. I hope you will give cooperation. I expect much cooperation from you.”

Also speaking, the outgoing PRO of the Command SP Abubakar pleaded for continued collaboration between the Media and the Police for the security of lives and properties of the people of the state.

Earlier in his remarks, the Council’s Chairman Comrade Muhammmad noted that media is doing all it can in the state towards ensuring everlasting peaceful coexistence in the state.
