Shehu Sani, Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, on Saturday hosted 120 persons with disability for breaking of fast in Kaduna.

Mr Sani in his remarks at the occasion expressed delight as the physically challenged honor the occasion.

His words: “I am happy that you have honored my invitation and it is a clear testimony that you are still with me.”

He said this is part of his struggle for the masses and that he will continue to carry them along, “because during the 2015 general elections you have contributed to every elected leaders

emergence.”

He noted that “if there is anybody in this country that deserves to be assisted, it is the persons with disability who are the critical segment of the society.”

He urged them to come up with an empowerment scheme that will make them more self reliant, their immediate family.

“Under my programme I am ready to see that you are empowered,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the physically challenged, the spokesperson of the Northern Blind Forum, Malam Muntari Sale, thanked the Senator for hosting them and assured him of their continues support.

“None of the politicians in the state hosted us for breaking of fast apart from the senator, in spite the fact that we contributed immensely to the successes of the APC, particularly in the state,” he said.
