NiMET predicts morning showers in Eket, Calabar, Yenagoa and Benin; clouds and thunderstorms elsewhere

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for Wednesday, June 15, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with chances of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Katsina and Gusau during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 33-37oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the region with likelihood of localised thunderstorms over the Eastern flank like Abuja, Lafia, Makurdi, Jalingo and Mambila Plateau during in the morning hours. The thunderstorms activities are expected to affect the Western flank of the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 32-34oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: The coastal cities like Eket, Calabar, Yenagoa and Benin, will likely witness some morning showers. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 29-32oC.
