Senator donates transformer to community

Senator Shehu Sani has donated a 500kva transformer to the people of Sabon Garin Maraban Jos community in Igabi LGA of Kaduna State.

Responding to the kind gesture of the Mr Sani, the village head of the area, Mallam Dauda Garba, said his area has been in darkness for ages because of no transformer.

“I, on behalf of the entire people of Sabon Gari Mararaba Jos wish to thank this good sent man,” he said.

The Village Head appealed to individuals, groups, corporate organisations and other politicians to emulate Mr Sani’s gesture.

While presenting the transformer to the community Sulaiman Ahmed, Senior Special Adviser to the Senator on Political Matters, said small businesses who are holding micro-economy of the community “were grounded for six years due to lack of light.”

“12 unit of 50KVA transformer has been donated to Igabi LGA. However, 500 KVA is presented to Maraban Jos strategically located along Jos, Zaria/Kano Road Junction. It is also the largest ward, second to Rigasa ward in Igabi LGA,” he added.
