Today’s Weather: Expect rains, thunderstorms and cloudy conditions —NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Friday, May 20, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: There are prospects of morning rainfall to affect Maiduguri, Potiskum, Yola, Nguru and Damaturu axis, while afternoon/evening thunderstorms are likely over Sokoto, Kano, Katsina, Gusau, Zaria and Yelwa. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 25-29oC.

CENTRAL STATES: We expect localised thunderstorm around Abuja, Lafia and Makurdi in the morning, and a wider spread of rainfall activities later in the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 21-26oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the entire region with prospects of evening localised thunderstorms. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-26oC.
