Today’s Weather: Expect cloudy conditions with chances of localised thunderstorms —NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, May 18, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are likely with prospects of localized thunderstorms over Sokoto and Gusau during the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures forecast are expected to be in the range of 36 - 41oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the region with chances of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Jos, Kaduna, Minna, Bauchi, Gombe, Yola, Jalingo, Lokoja, Makurdi and Mambila Plateau during the morning hours. Places like Jos and Abuja will likely experience evening thunderstorm. Maximum temperatures forecast are expected to be in the range of 29 - 33oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with chances of localised  thunderstorms over Port Harcourt, Lagos, Calabar, Eket, Ikom, Ogoja, Obudu, Enugu and Awka during the morning hours. Cities like Ibadan, Akure and Oshogbo will experience thunderstorms during the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures forecast are expected to be in the range of 31 - 33oC.
