The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Tuesday, May 17, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over the entire north in the morning. There are prospect of isolated thunderstorm around Gusau, Zaria and Kaduna axis while the other parts of the northern cities will remain cloudy in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 36-42oC.

CENTRAL STATES: There are chances of thunderstorm activities over some parts of the central states including Mambilla Plateau, Jalingo, Ibi and Obudu axis in the morning hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32-35oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Morning thunderstorm is expected over the south west while the south east is expected to be cloudy. Isolated thunderstorm is anticipated later in the afternoon over Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Awka and Owerri. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30-35oC.
